Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 27, 2026
This policy explains what information Calendar Assistant collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what is needed to run the service:
- Account information: your name, email address and a unique user ID, provided when you sign in through our authentication provider (Descope).
- Google Calendar data: after you choose to connect your Google account, we access your calendar events (titles, times, descriptions, attendees and locations) to answer your requests.
- Chat content: the messages you send to the assistant and its replies, so your conversation history is available to you.
- Technical data: basic logs such as request times and error messages, used to keep the service secure and working.
2. How we use Google Calendar data
We access Google Calendar data only to provide calendar features you ask for: viewing your schedule, finding free time, and creating, updating or deleting events. The assistant confirms changes with you before it writes to your calendar.
We do not use Google Calendar data to:
- serve advertising;
- build user profiles for any purpose other than the service;
- train generalized AI or machine learning models;
- sell it, or let people read it (except as described below).
Calendar Assistant's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. How data is stored and used
- Google access tokens are stored and managed by our authentication provider, Descope, and are fetched only when a request needs to reach your calendar. We never see or store your Google password.
- Calendar events are read from Google when a request needs them. We do not keep a separate copy of your calendar, although event details can appear in your chat history when the assistant mentions them.
- Account and connection records (your user ID and whether your calendar is connected) are stored in our database.
- Chat history is stored so you can return to earlier conversations and the assistant can keep context. It is kept until you ask us to delete it or delete your account.
- Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and only people who operate the service can access it, when they need it to maintain the service or fix problems.
4. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share data only with service providers that are needed to run Calendar Assistant:
- Descope: sign-in and secure storage of your Google access tokens.
- Google (Gemini API): your chat messages, and any calendar details needed to answer them, are processed by Google's Gemini AI models to generate replies.
- Hosting providers: to run our servers and database.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or security of our users or the service.
5. How to revoke Google access
You can stop Calendar Assistant from reaching your calendar at any time:
- Go to your Google Account's Third-party apps & services page.
- Select Calendar Assistant.
- Choose Delete all connections (or remove access).
Once access is revoked, we can no longer read or change your calendar. To have your account, chat history and stored tokens deleted as well, email us at the address below.
6. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If the changes are significant, we will tell you in the app.
7. Contact us
If you have questions about this policy or your data, or want your data deleted, email us at rupeshkhatri9816@gmail.com.
